John Singleton, director and OSCAR nominee of the film Boyz n’ the hood, is currently in talks to direct the upcoming Tupac Biopic. Singleton and Tupac first met on the set of Poetic justice where he directed Shakur along side Janet Jackson. The two were fast friends. A little searching through BET’s old archival footage reveals John and Tupac laughing and joking together.
Originally director Antoine Fuqua had agreed to work this film, but after much deliberation over casting and other factors, he ultimately turned the opportunity down.
